Mark Wilson was the lead singer in a band called "Just Numbers" along with Tim Gibbons (whose uncle was Steve Gibbons of the Steve Gibbons Band),Tim Holloway and Kevin Hodges. There were a lot of Mods in Leominster at the time and this is were the origins of the scooter following stemmed.

Back in the early 80's there were a few scooters knocking around Leominster, but no formal club. In around 1981-1982 Mark Wilson, Allan Duncalfe and Shane Juson, set about organising a club along with Karen Perry,Stephanie Strangwood and Gaynor Pitt.
The name of this club was Leominster Lynx scooter club, this name lasted for a short period before it became known as the Leominster Nymph-fo-maniacs scooter club.

The first main event where most members attended was Donnington 85

Mark wilson had the idea to have the members helmets painted black with a white stripe, as a lot of the bigger scooter clubs at the time were identified by having the same helmets, mud-flaps etc.
After a few meetings the numbers were allocated to each memmber(Shane on missing this meeting was given No.3, something that he's not bitter about to this day......honest)

As a club proper, meetings were held at the community centre in church st. chaired by Mark Wilson before moving to the back room of the Greyhound in rainbow st.
Meetings were every Thursday night where the princely sum of 20p was collected form members to maintian the club coffers.(Runmours Wilson spent this in the Bell on the way home are not entirely unfounded)

When new owners arrived at the Greyhound (Sandra and Steve) they refurbished the outside pool room with its own bar and re named it the Rack 'N' Ruin bar after the scooter club. The Nymph-fo -maniacs name had been dropped and this was the new name of the club.

The Rack'N'Ruin club was formed in 1985 and Shane Juson drew up the club patch from a Cult Album "Electric"*

The club lasted until about 1989 with a few members still left namely Shane Juson, John Jones,Steven Oldaker and Mark(y)Wilson. This lasted till about 1991, when Shane Juson was the last active member.
